FIFA 14 Gamescom 2013: Mobile Will Be Free-to-play, Demo Out Sept 10

It’s been a massive day for EA Sports and FIFA 14 in general, with demo news, trailers, game modes announced and quite literally everything covered. Andrew Wilson said at Gamescom today, that the upcoming football/soccer title will be a free-to-play module on mobile devices. He also stated that legends will make an appearance, but only the the Xbox 360 and Xbox One due to exclusivity.

The FIFA 14 stats will be carrying over from the current-gen consoles over to the next-gen platforms. PlayStation 4 and Xbox One gameplay was also shown at gamescom 2013 today as well, and you can view the trailer below.

The title will be complete with an authentic stadium atmosphere and have well over a 100 in-game cameras that are positioned around the pitch so that players can watch different replays from improved angles.

Electronic Arts Inc. today announced that EA SPORTS™ is bringing legendary footballers such as Ruud Gullit, Patrick Vieira, and Pelé to FIFA 14 Ultimate Team to the Xbox 360® and Xbox One®, the all-in-one games and entertainment systems from Microsoft. Fans will be able to craft their FIFA 14 Ultimate Team with a mix of legendary players playing alongside today’s football stars.

Each Legend will have unique attributes that will showcase the skills and flair that made them legendary at the height of their careers, and will be randomly included in Gold Packs in FIFA 14 Ultimate Team beginning with the launch of the Xbox One. FIFA 14 Demo Release Date

The official FIFA 14 playable/downloadable demo will launch worldwide for the Windows PC and Xbox 360 on September 10th, and for the PS3 on September 10th in North America, and September 11th across Europe.

This years installment will feature well over 16,000 players, over 600 clubs, and 33 officially licensed professional football leagues.

The full game shoots it’s way to North America on 24th Sept, and worldwide on Sept 27 for the PlayStation 3, PS2, PC, PS Vita, PSP, Wii U, Nintendo 3DS, and Xbox 360. The next-gen versions will be out later on this fall, as well as on iPhone, iPad, and iPod-touch and Android devices.
