It’s always an exciting time for gamers and many have already pre-ordered their copy of the much-anticipated release. EA have been busy snapping up various rights over the past 12 months and they have managed to obtain the official rights for Serie A, which will coincide with the arrival of the mercurial Cristiano Ronaldo. The majority of teams were featured in previous additions of the game but they will now be accessible in career mode where a number of bonuses will await.
Serie A looks extremely competitive once again this season and following a fascinating title race last year, gamers will undoubtedly be excited that the likes of Napoli, Torino, Roma and Juventus will all be available with the highest level of authenticity. Badges, crests and official match-day balls will also be included in the game.
UEFA had a long-standing agreement with Konami and PES but this has expired over the summer and as a result, FIFA 19 will now include Europe’s premier club competition. After signing the lucrative deal, EA Sports were keen to show off their latest acquisition and the Champions League has featured heavily on the early demos. It will allow players to steer their favourite team through the competition, carefully negotiating the group stage before taking on some of Europe’s most decorated clubs during the knockout rounds.
The Europa League will also be available for the first time and will also be part of FIFA Ultimate Team this season. Despite playing second fiddle to the Champions League, the competition is always extremely competitive with clubs such as AC Milan, Arsenal and Chelsea all featuring this year with the latter chalked up as the 6/1 favourites in the Europa League betting. Players will be able to guide their favourite teams through the group stage and negotiate the choppy waters of the two-legged knock-out games.

La Liga stadiums will also feature in the new game with 19 realistic venues included on FIFA 19 whilst over 200 new players from the Spanish top flight will also be incorporated. They were unable to secure the rights to the Nou Camp although talks will continue to take place throughout the season. The stadia will include club flags and banners complete with realistic pre-match atmosphere.
FIFA release day is always a significant date and sports fans and gamers will be counting down the hours until they can get their hands on the latest copy of the much-heralded game. It will be available on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, X-Box One and PC.
The addition of Champions League, Europa League, La Liga and Serie A rights looks to be real coup for EA and both FIFA 19 and its gamers will undoubtedly benefit from the inclusion of these prestigious competitions.
