Leyton Orient Players Banned From Playing FIFA 14
League One side Leyton Orient have banned all of their players from playing on the newly released FIFA 14 video game it has emerged. The table toppers were on a terrific run of 8 straight consecutive wins that have skyrocketed them to the top of the Skybet League One division.
The reason behind this ban, is that all of the coaching staff at the London based football club believe that it’s really poor preparation for any upcoming match the club has. The soccer title arrived in the UK on September 27th, at that specific time in the calender, Orient had-dent lost a game all season.
The club then didn’t win a single game after it’s launch, once the ban came into place however, Orient managed to beat Coventry City in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy by winning 4-2 on penalties and then beat a tough MK Dons side 2-1 yesterday.
So the change in off-pitch tactics probably worked in the coaching staff and players favour in the long haul. The players are still allowed to play the title in their own free time away from the training ground, but still not on match-days.
Previously the players had started to play as themselves and prepare for games by playing FIFA and beating the opposition. The Leyton orient manager Russell Slade didn’t think it was helping his squad and decided to act swiftly. There won’t be any chance of the players getting to play on FM 14 when it’s due out next month then.
