FIFA 14 Nails Xmas UK Number One For 2013
EA Sports FIFA 14 has bagged the UK Christmas number 1 spot in the UK for the video game sales. The figures were released courtesy of GfK Chart-Track. Astonishingly the footie simulator defeated Activision’s COD: Ghosts by an incredible 17,000 units, which also saw a huge rise of over 18% rise in sales this past week.
Since the very first Modern Warfare game was released way back in 2007. the UK has been completely dominated by the Call of Duty franchise at the top of the charts.Just last Xmas saw Black Ops 2 take the crown, and the last time a FIFA title took the top spot was FIFA 09.
Ever since these charts were formed a massive 28 years ago, EA can boast that they’ve had more Xmas number 1 titles than any of the other publishers with a staggering 14. An incredible eight of those came way of the FIFA game series. All of the staff here at FIFASolved are really pleased for EA, and long may this huge success continue.
