FUT 14 TOTS (Team Of The Season) Dates Detailed
With the development team at EA Sports already putting together the first TOTS package for FIFA 14 Ultimate Team, we decided to put a detailed preview up on the site for gamers to get ready for the big final event.
EA are due to release the last batch of content regarding Team of the season packs on April 23rd this year, and many FUT players are eagerly awaiting the launch party. As of the date of writing this article, Electronic Arts have not yet posted any details on what dates the TOTS cards will be unveiled, so below is the dates that were issued last year to give you a rough idea of when to expect them.
Once the official dates are revealed, we’ll update this page and put in the appropriate information.
TOTS Release Dates
In the middle of last year EA released 10 different squads that were divided into leagues, except for the special packs. The TOTW (Team of the Week) remained the same and continued to run all the way through the year, and the 10 squads were never released all at the exact same time either, but rather on separate dates instead.
The ten team of the season squads unveiled last year along with their respective launch times can be viewed below in full.
1st TOTS: Silver/Bronze Most Consistent But Never IF (In-Form) – 6pm (UK time), April 23rd 2014 until 5.30pm (UK time), April 30th 2014.
There was an inclusion in the Silver Team of The Season packs for Burnley striker Danny Ings after racking up 27 goals in all competitions and collecting the award for Sky Bet Championship Player Of The Year. Southampton left-back Luke Shaw also made it into the final squad.
2nd TOTS: Gold Most Consistent But Never IF (In-Form) – 6pm (UK time), April 23rd 2014 until 5.30pm (UK time), April 30th 2014.
The first week of TOTS had two entire teams of 18 inserted into packs concurrently. With 36 “premium” informs released at the same time, loads of people bought many packs during this period. While there were a few big names, for the most part this was a week in which you were probably better off not spending too much on the special release packs, especially considering the highly anticipated BPL TOTS was coming next. The players that were featured here could not have had an in-form during the season.
One of the most notable inclusions was Manchester United and England forward Wayne Rooney with a rating of 92. He was joined by his club teammate goalkeeper De Gea with an 87 rating, and a really OP De Rossi in the CDM position
3rd TOTS: Barclays Premier League (BPL) – 6pm (UK time), April 30th 2014 until 5.30pm (UK time), May 7th 2014.
Juan Mata, Gareth Bale, Luis Suarez, Santi Cazorla, Sergio Aguero, Steven Gerrard and more were featured, and this year proved to not disappoint neither. Some of the best players released this time round included Daniel Sturridge (87) Eden Hazard (94) Yaya Touré (92) Vincent Kompany (91) and a well deserved entry for Adam Lallana who’s rated at 84 overall. During the whole TOTS run, EA also released a TOTW each Wednesday as usual. That puts 36 total in-forms in packs per week, and 54 in week one.
4th TOTS: German Bundesliga – 6pm (UK time), May 7th 2014 until 5.30pm (UK time), May 29th 2014.
On this date the best players from the German Bundesliga were released by EA Sports and the team was completely full of talent. Making their way into the TOTS squad were Robert Lewandowski, Arjen Robben, Mario Mandžukić,Toni Kroos, David Alaba and many more.
5th TOTS: Italian Serie A – 6pm (UK time), May 14th 2014 until 5.30pm (UK time), June 5th 2013.
The Serie A team that was unveiled had key players included in it that gamers would have been preying made the final cut. Such individuals like Paul Pogba who’s a fans favourite on FUT, and Carlos Tevez also made the grade.
6th TOTS: French Ligue 1 – 6pm (UK time), May 14th 2014 until 5.30pm (UK time), May 21st 2014.
On the very same day that the Serie A players were released, the French Ligue 1 squad was also revealed meaning that gamers had double the chance of finding a TOTS card in packs for a whole week.
7th TOTS: Spanish Marca La Liga (BBVA) – 6pm (UK time), May 21st 2014 until 6pm (UK time), May 28th 2014.
This TOTS release was quite possibly the best of the year, as a number of high profile players got into the final cut. Superstars that included Gareth Bale, Lionel Messi, Diego Costa and Cristiano Ronaldo all made an appearance in the La Liga BBVA special and were available in packs.
8th TOTS: ROTW (Rest Of The World) – 6pm (UK time), May 23rd 2014 until 5.30pm (UK time), May 26th 2014.
For a limited time only, EA released the rest of the world teams that were only available over the weekend of the date stated above. There was a big list of players that made an appearance in the ROTW squad as it covers a considerable amount of leagues and clubs.
9th TOTS: EA Sports Best Team Of The Season – 6pm (UK time), May 28th 2014 until 5.30pm (UK time), May 30th 2014.
This was a combination of the very best players all released in one team to make up the best starting eleven, subs bench and reserves. Such players as Messi, Reus, Robben, Ronaldo, Pogba and Diego Costa were on show.
10th TOTS: Benelux (Eredivisie & Belgian Pro League) – 6pm (UK time), June 4th 2014 until 5.30pm (UK time), June 11th 2014.
This was a compilation of all of the best TOTS players, re-released, giving players a chance to get them in packs for one more weekend.
11th TOTS: MLS All-Stars – August 6th 2014 until 5:30pm (UK time), August 13th 2014.
The American Major League Soccer (MLS) all-stars were unveiled which included Jermain Defoe, Thierry Henry and Tim Cahill.
